Our Bogey Blokes Story

G’day, I’m Ray. Stay-at-home dad and the bloke behind Bogey Blokes.

This whole thing started with my little family. Our son arrived way earlier than planned, at just 27 weeks and barely the size of my hand. He spent three tough months in the NICU getting stronger while Em recovered from a rough birth and I was working long days installing sheds for my father-in-law's business (Shed Rite Ellenbrook).

Like any first-time parents, we were winging it. The stress, the joy, the sleepless nights, all mixed together. Em was also dealing with her own mental health battles, and we realised something needed to change. So we swapped roles. I stepped into full-time dad life, and Em went back to doing what she’s amazing at, caring for others as an aged-care nurse.

We kept our son at home with me. No daycare, just me trying to figure it out as I went. I looked for casual work, but nothing stuck. So I started selling little bits online to help where I could.

Then one day, with a tiny tax refund, a supportive wife, and a big “stuff it, let’s give this a crack,” Bogey Blokes was born.

What started in our TV lounge has turned into something we’re really proud of: funny Aussie novelty golf balls, cheeky designs, and a brand built around the idea that golf gear doesn’t need to be serious to be good fun. I design and package everything myself, and nothing leaves our home without Em's and baby Dan Dan's thumbs up.

We’re still small, still learning, and still building this dream around nap times, night shifts, and family life. Every order, big or small, genuinely helps us keep going.
